Boring Reinforced Concrete Pipe Presentation Description Guidelines
Boring is becoming a more popular method for installation of reinforced concrete pipelines. Learn about the basics of what you need to specify for materials, suggestions for installation methods and construction laydown areas and staging. Participants will walk away with the five steps or five key items they need to address for a successful project.
NOTE: For this given presentation, we want to ensure these requirements/parameters are met.
We would like a presenter to explain the project planning steps, pipe standards including dimensional tolerances that are important from a reinforced concrete pipe perspective and why, and construction planning and processes. Engineers do not normally dictate means and methods yet their plans need to reflect adequate area for staging and laydown areas for competitive construction pricing. Participants will walk away with the five steps or five key items they need to address for a successful project.
Jacking Reinforced Concrete Pipe Presentation Description Guidelines
Pipe Jacking is also becoming a more widely used installation method. Learn about the basics of what you need to specify for materials, suggestions for installation methods and construction laydown areas and staging. Participants will walk away with the five steps or five key items they need to address for a successful project.
NOTE: For this given presentation, we want to ensure these requirements/parameters are met.

Resilience & Sustainability Presentation Description
The concepts of resilience and sustainability are not new to anyone, but the significance and importance of these terms has grown exponentially in just the last decade. While these terms are easy to talk about in a philosophical sense, we must grow our understanding of how to implement resilient and sustainable principles in design, specifically related to drainage infrastructure.
ASTM Committee C13 Presentation Description Guidelines Speaker Preferences
ASTM Committee C13 on Concrete Pipe was formed in 1931. C13 meets once a year, usually in September, with approximately 100 members attending over three days of technical meetings. The Committee, with membership of approximately 200, currently has jurisdiction of over 55 standards published in the Annual Book of ASTM Standards, Volume 4.05. C13 has 9 technical subcommittees that maintain jurisdiction over these standards. Learn how you can join and participate to benefit our industry.
NOTE: For this given presentation, we want to ensure these requirements/parameters are met.
The course description could be broadened to include other ASTM Committees important to our industry.
NOTE: These are not requirements, but preferences to ensure speaker has necessary qualifications
Presenter should be an active ASTM C13 Committee Member.

Post-Installation Inspection Presentation Description Guidelines Speaker Preferences
Post Installation Inspection provides that proof of proper installation and structural integrity to the owner prior to project close-out or final acceptance. This is key step and you will learn how to help owners make certain parts of post-installation inspection part of their construction contract.
NOTE: For this given presentation, we want to ensure these requirements/parameters are met.
The audience should walk away knowing what portions of post-installation inspection can be completed by others and what portions should be completed by the owner. Caveats, sample language and tips to writing solid specifications on this subject shall be included.
NOTE: These are not requirements, but preferences to ensure speaker has necessary qualifications
Presenter shall provide locations and sample language to cause specifications that require the prime contractor to be responsible for portions of post-installation inspection. Presenter shall have background in writing and administrating municipal underground pipe installation construction contracts and the specifications.
