This presentation will cover these topics including sustainable market dynamics and performance aspects of portland-limestone cement (aka. PLC or Type IL). \nSpeaker Bio \n\n\n\n\n\nJoseph Clendenen is a Technical Service Engineer for Holcim (US) Inc\, the world’s largest cementitious materials supplier\, for the Midwest US. He is a former General Manager of Pioneer Testing & Engineering\, LLC in St. Paul\, MN and a former Technical Service Engineer and Concrete Laboratory Supervisor for Holcim (US) Inc. \nHe holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Missouri-Rolla (now Missouri University of Science and Technology). He is a Professional Engineer (MN\, WI\, and MO) and a LEED Accredited Professional. \nHe is a member of American Concrete Institute (ACI)\, serving as a voting member of committees 201-0H Aggregate Reactions and 232 Fly Ash and Bottom Ash in Concrete. He is also a member of the American Society of Testing & Materials (ASTM)\, including serving as chair of committees C09.27 Slag Cement and C09.47 Self-Consolidating Concrete and a voting member of C09.24 Supplementary Cementitious Materials and C09.50 Aggregate Reactions in Concrete.

We will then move into a detailed description of each of the most common thermoplastic pipe products on the market today along with the manufacturer’s recommendations and ASTM requirements for installation. We will also discuss other significant considerations about the use of thermoplastic pipes. \nSpeaker Bio \nDon has over 38 years of experience in the precast industry as a quality control manager\, production engineer\, design engineer\, engineering manager and chief operating officer. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from The University of Cincinnati and is a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Ohio. Don is the Great Lakes Region Engineer for the American Concrete Pipe Association.
