Tom has been involved with the ACPA Short Course Schools since 1995 as a committee member and Task Group chairman of the Production school. His family consists of Kathy\, his wife of 38 years and his daughter Ashlyn and son Anton. Ashlyn is married to Travis and they have an 10 year old son Brody. Passions are Coaching Baseball\, fishing\, and teaching others about vibration and how it effects concrete production. \n

The ACPA would like to know what safety issues or concerns our members are having\, so that we can work together to find ways to better our plants and our industry. When needed the course instructors will ask a series of open-ended questions that relate to known issues some of members are experiencing. Just like a safety process\, this is an interactive course. If you have a question\, please share. Together we will find a way to make it work. \nSpeaker Bios: \nTodd Marciniak has 26 years of experience in the concrete product manufacturing industry. Dedication and hard work have driven his advancement through several levels of employment within Northern Concrete Pipe\, Inc. and paved the way for his current role as Safety Director. Todd’s years of experience has provided him with a strong understanding of the different facets of concrete manufacturing operations and has fostered a strong\, safety-conscious mindset with a desire for continued innovation in safety culture. In addition to being a devoted Safety Director for Northern Concrete Pipe\, Todd is also the chair for the ACPA safety committee and works diligently to aid in the continued improvement of safety in his industry. \nTodd’s immediate goals revolve around cultivating a positive safety culture in the workplace. DESCRIPTION:Location: Frisco 7 \nSpeaker: Paul Krauss – WJE \nSpeaker Bio: \nPaul has worked for the nationally-acclaimed consulting engineering firm of Wiss\, Janney\, Elstner Associates\, Inc. (WJE) since 1988. He first became involved with industry-specific quality programs in 1991\, helping develop quality programs for several industry associations. He was involved with the original development of the ACPA QCast Program in 1998 and manages the team of trained WJE auditors that perform the plant audits for conformance to the QCast requirements. The passion and knowledge that Paul and the WJE auditors bring to the QCast program helps the industry improve quality and to “raise the bar”. Prior to joining WJE\, Paul worked for the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) providing a state agency perspective.

He has been in his current role as the Region Quality Manager since March 2013. Mark’s background includes being a Project Manager for PTTC and TACON companies for fifteen years on marine construction projects on the Inland Waterways of the United States and on coastal erosion protection along the Gulf coast.
