Presenters will be prepared to bring up points of discussion that are current things to watch for. \nLeader Bios: \nTodd Marciniak has 26 years of experience in the concrete product manufacturing industry. Dedication and hard work have driven his advancement through several levels of employment within Northern Concrete Pipe\, Inc. and paved the way for his current role as Safety Director. Todd’s years of experience has provided him with a strong understanding of the different facets of concrete manufacturing operations and has fostered a strong\, safety-conscious mindset with a desire for continued innovation in safety culture. In addition to being a devoted Safety Director for Northern Concrete Pipe\, Todd is also the chair for the ACPA safety committee and works diligently to aid in the continued improvement of safety in his industry. \nTodd’s immediate goals revolve around cultivating a positive safety culture in the workplace. His ideas are centered upon improving employee safety knowledge\, perfecting exceptional safety training\, and promoting teamwork from within. He is determined to build a safety framework that can be maintained and improved upon for years to come. \nOutside of the workplace\, Todd has a variety of outdoor hobbies including hiking\, boating\, kayaking\, mountain biking\, and spending time at the gun range. He also enjoys woodworking\, building with material\, going to the gym\, and watching his kids’ sporting events. \n  \nJohn has had 19 years’ experience in Safety and Health. Primarily in the construction industry. He joined County Materials Corporation in 2019. He makes his home base in Marshfield\, Wisconsin. John is an avid Green Bay Packer fan. John went to University of Wisconsin-Whitewater where he received his bachelors degree in Occupational Health and Safety. John has been married to his wife Kimberly for 13 years. She owns and operates a dog boarding business out of their home since 2019. John and Kimberly have two children\, Brigs 12\, and Raegan 10. They both enjoy watching them play sports\, specifically competitive swimming\, football and softball. \n  \n

Learn what pipe damage should be repaired and procedures and materials used to complete both cosmetic and structural repairs. \nSpeaker Bio: \nPaul has worked for the nationally acclaimed consulting engineering firm of Wiss\, Janney\, Elstner Associates\, Inc. (WJE) since 1988. He first became involved with industry-specific quality programs in 1991\, helping develop quality programs for several industry associations. He was involved with the original development of the ACPA QCast Program in 1998 and manages the team of trained WJE auditors that perform the plant audits for conformance to the QCast requirements. The passion and knowledge that Paul and the WJE auditors bring to the QCast program helps the industry improve quality and to “raise the bar”. Prior to joining WJE\, Paul worked for the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) providing a state agency perspective.

The presenter will discuss the basics of TRI reporting\, including common applicability and release calculations that are broadly applicable to concrete pipe manufacturing (e.g.\, TRI metal compounds present in raw materials and metal rods\, TRI chemicals present in fuels\, etc.). The presentation will also cover recent TRI regulatory changes\, including the supplier notification changes that impact both raw materials and concrete products. The session will conclude with practical tips and examples for improving your facility’s environmental program. This session is targeted for attendees looking to learn more about environmental regulatory requirements and EPA’s TRI program. \nSpeaker Bio: \nTaylor Wilson\, P.E. is a Principal Consultant and Broadening Consulting Services Manager for Trinity Consultant’s Kansas City office. His primary work areas include environmental compliance and reporting\, including topics such as EPCRA (Tier II\, TRI\, etc.)\, CWA (NPDES\, SWPPP\, SPCC\, etc.)\, RCRA\, and CAA compliance. He also serves as Trinity’s national instructor for Introduction to Environmental Regulations and Introduction to Reporting & Recordkeeping\, among other courses. Rich is responsible for developing and overseeing Northern’s award winning quality control program\, maintaining various plant and company certifications\, ensuring product compliance to local\, state and national specifications\, personnel training\, and overseeing product research and testing projects. Rich is an active member of ACPA’s Manufacturing/Quality\, Education\, and Research Committees; as well as Vice Chair on ASTM’s C-13 Committee. Rich is a proud recipient of the ACPA’s Mel Marshall Award\, and the ASTM C13 Chair Award.
