Concrete Production

Presentation Description:

The production of consistent and high-quality concrete is essential to all of the products that we make. This session will discuss the importance of proper material storage and handling, material and admix batching sequence, and the importance of compensating for aggregate moisture (again). We will review the various styles of mixers followed by a discussion of the transportation and pouring of concrete.

Speaker Bio:

Tom worked in production for 30 years. He has continued in the industry until today as a teacher, consultant, and salesman. Currently working with CAM Products and Hawkeye Pedershaab, both are divisions of Afinitas. Tom has been involved with the ACPA Short Course Schools since 1995 as a committee member and Task Group chairman of the Production school. His family consists of Kathy, his wife of 38 years and his daughter Ashlyn and son Anton. Ashlyn is married to Travis and they have an 10 year old son Brody. Passions are Coaching Baseball, fishing, and teaching others about vibration and how it effects concrete production.
