Speaker: Luke Assink, P.E. – WSDOT
Presentation Description:
WSDOT’s approach to a complete update to their Hydraulic Manual; including methods used, industry feedback and final changes. In addition, Luke will give insights to their plan for updates moving forward.
Speaker Bio:
Luke Assink is currently the Hydraulic Design Manager for the Washington State Department of Transportation. He had 7 years of experience as a highway and stormwater engineer before joining the WSDOT Headquarters Hydraulics Office in 2013. Luke has worked on many WSDOT fish passage and bridge scour projects and also provides guidance for stormwater management design and is responsible for developing an asset management plan for all WSDOT hydraulic features. Luke is a registered professional engineer in Washington State, a Certified Erosion Control Lead, and a member of the American Public Works Association.
