Moving Super Loads
February 11, 2025 @ 12:35 pm - 1:25 pm EST
Location: Kojo Kamau C – 4th Floor
Speakers: Matt Bruning – ODOT
Jacque Annarino – ODOT
Presentation Description:
Moving super loads takes a lot of planning, preparation, coordination, analysis, and communication. Imagine planning and preparing to move approximately two dozen super loads that are approximately 170 miles along the same roadways in less than one year. Now, imagine four of those loads being mega loads measuring approximately 23’ tall, 20’ wide, 280’ long, and weighing in excess of 950,000 pounds. ODOT will share information about how they worked internally as well as with Intel, their subcontractors and haulers, and various state and local public agencies to plan, prepare for, and manage the movement of these loads.
