Open safety toolbox talks, and training are often focused on specific or required topics. Yes, specific training of a task or a process is part of general plant safety. But how often do we talk about all the little parts of the operation that are vitally important in ensuring the safety of our workforce. Ensuring safety is often done by constant reminders to aid in keeping everyone focused. This course is centered around all the little things that may get overlooked but are still very important, to give reminders that we must always be thinking.
Speaker Bios:
Todd Marciniak has 26 years of experience in the concrete product manufacturing industry. Dedication and hard work have driven his advancement through several levels of employment within Northern Concrete Pipe, Inc. and paved the way for his current role as Safety Director. Todd’s years of experience has provided him with a strong understanding of the different facets of concrete manufacturing operations and has fostered a strong, safety-conscious mindset with a desire for continued innovation in safety culture. In addition to being a devoted Safety Director for Northern Concrete Pipe, Todd is also the chair for the ACPA safety committee and works diligently to aid in the continued improvement of safety in his industry.
Todd’s immediate goals revolve around cultivating a positive safety culture in the workplace. His ideas are centered upon improving employee safety knowledge, perfecting exceptional safety training, and promoting teamwork from within. He is determined to build a safety framework that can be maintained and improved upon for years to come.
Outside of the workplace, Todd has a variety of outdoor hobbies including hiking, boating, kayaking, mountain biking, and spending time at the gun range. He also enjoys woodworking, building with material, going to the gym, and watching his kids’ sporting events.
