Presentation Description:
The German Federal Association of Concrete Sewer Systems (FBS) represents the interests of its 20 member companies (85-90% market share), all of which are manufacturers of concrete pipes and man-holes. The main activities include the implementation and adherence of high quality-standards, technical assistance for members and their customers (Concrete Competence Center), R&D-projects and numerous marketing activities.
The presentation will give an overview of the German sewage market and focus on the different challenges the FBS-members face (competition, economic factors,…) along with their possible solutions.
Speaker Bio:
Stefan Schemionek is an internal consultant to the management of the German Federal Association of Concrete Sewer Systems. He is responsible for Marketing/Public Relations and leads the FBS-section „Building Information Modeling“. His goal, together with the whole team of FBS, is to transform the image of concrete sewage systems from „old and outdated“ to „modern and innovative“.
After his degree in automotive engineering, he worked several years in the automotive supply industry (acoustics / NVH) before becoming general manager in different commercial and manufacturing companies.
