We all know the importance of having a resilient and sustainable development. But what does that mean? This session dives further into the factors that make up resilience and sustainability. We will look into how this has impacted the history of modern-day precast concrete and what disasters can impact these products.

Speaker Bio:

James Freed graduated from Texas Tech University in 2015 with a degree in Civil Engineering. He currently resides in Houston, TX with his wife, 9-month-old daughter, and their four dogs. He started his career in TX consulting, focused on Site development; as well as, being contracted to the City of Houston Public Works Department, where he was a part of a team created to rehabilitate the storm outfalls that failed due to Hurricane Harvey. After all that design experience, James decided to switch over to the manufacturing side of civil. He joined Rinker Materials in 2020 as a part of the engineering team where he mastered designing Reinforced Box Culverts. James now serves as a TRE with Rinker and his goal is to teach everyone the benefits of precast concrete and concrete products.
