Box Culvert Design

Presentation Description:  Everything from the initial bidding of a project to the final design, there will be information that benefits sales, estimating, engineering and everyone in between. The discussion will begin by covering the crucial information important to box design and how and where to find this information in the plans and specifications. Reinforced Concrete Box Culverts have two common design standards, each with different manufacturing and design considerations. Learn more about what is required for each in terms of production and engineering.

Speaker Bio:  Ashley Wilson, M.S., P.E. has been in the concrete pipe industry since 2012. During this time, she has worked in the design engineering and technical marketing roles. She joined Ameritex Pipe in 2021 to help build and develop the engineering program.

Ashley holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Northern Arizona University and a Master’s of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington. She is a registered professional engineer in the states or Colorado and Texas. She is currently the Vice Chair of the ACPA Education committee and ASTM C13.02 Committee. Ashley and her husband, Alex, reside in Littleton, CO with their two dogs where they spend most of their free time exploring the mountains.
