Sealed with Conseal: Dayton Parallel Sewer Interceptor

Presenter:  Chad Curtis

Organization:  Conseal

Description:  ConSeal was entrusted to aid in the design of a relocated water main and interceptor sewer parallel on the Wes side of the Great Miami River in Dayton, Ohio.  With approximately 11,350 linear feet of 6-foot high by 8-ffot wide bx culvert sections and 1,420 linear feet of 36-inch prestressed concrete cylinder pipe (PCCP) water main, this project needed watertight solutions that Concrete Sealants can provide.  ConBlock MIC was used as an admixture to inhibit growth of bacteria, fungi, mold, or algae.  ConBlock MIC renders the surface of concrete uninhabitable to microbiological organisms and is incompliance with ASTM C494 and ASTM C1577.  All joints were sealed using ConSeal CS-102, which fully meets the requirements of ASTM C990 and the performance requirements of ASTM C443.  Concrete Sealants continues to serve our customers with first-rate solutions to all of their sealant problems.
